The UKBlues Federation is delighted to announce that Dom Martin, winner of the Acoustic Blues Artist of the Year category in the both the 2020 and 2021 UKBlues Awards, has accepted our invitation to represent the UK in the solo/duo category at the 2022 International Blues Challenge which will take place in Memphis, TN between 18th & 22nd January 2022 and is organised by The Blues Foundation.
Dom announced his participation at a special online session at the UKBlues Award winning Tuesday Night Music Club earlier this evening.
Speaking about his invitation to participate, Dom said, ”I’m really honoured to be representing the UK Blues Federation and the whole UK blues family in Memphis for the 2022 International Blues Challenge.
Be assured, I will give it my all!”
Dom is only the second act to represent the UK in this category at the IBC. In 2019, Kyla Brox and Danny Blomeley were our first representatives.
The UKBlues Federation wish Dom every success and are very pleased to be able to offer him this fantastic opportunity.
The UKBlues Federation will, as usual, be offering some financial assistance to Dom and will be donating £1,000 towards his considerable costs.
