The UKBlues Federation was created in 2015 by a small team of dedicated people from the blues community to provide a focal point for the blues in the UK and to work with musicians, organisations, associations, groups, venues, festivals, companies, individuals and any other interested parties within the UK to support, promote and encourage blues of all sorts within the UK seeking to achieve UKBlues Federation's aims.

This was an ambitious project and great progress has been made but we are still looking for substantial and committed support from the Blues community at all levels within the UK so that, together, we can raise the profile of the blues in and from the UK.

The UKBlues Federation is honoured and delighted to have been nominated to operate the selection process for the UK’s representative at :

The European Blues Challenges (EBC) organised by the European Blues Union (EBU) which takes place annually at various locations across Europe, and

The International Blues Challenge (IBC) organised by the Blues Foundation (BF) which takes place annually in Memphis, Tennessee, USA

In 2018, UKBlues introduced the UKBlues Awards, generously sponsored by FORM, to considerable acclaim and the first Awards presentation event was held at a sold-out evening at Worthing Pier’s Southern Pavilion.
