The UK Blues Challenge is the event when we choose the band that is going to go on to represent the UK at The International Blues Challenge in Memphis, USA and the European Blues Challenge (which in 2024 is being held in Portugal).
On the night each band will play a 25-minute set. Then, as in the International and European Challenges, a panel of judges will give them marks in the five categories of Vocal Talent, Instrumental Talent, Originality, Stage Presence and Blues Content. The marks given will be totalled up and at the end of the night, the band being given the opportunity to represent the UK will be announced.
The event itself is taking place in the exclusive and prestigious live room at The Marshall Studios, an all seated venue with its own fully stocked bar. Putting aside the occasion itself, just the opportunity to see five fabulous bands in The Errol Linton Band, Jo Carley & The Old Dry Skulls, The Milk Men, The Terraplanes Blues Band and The Toby Lee Band should have you grabbing tickets!
